Domestic Violence

Today, a word for the guys.  NEVER hit a woman, or even threaten to hit her.  The law makes no room for machismo.  The law strongly protects a battered woman.  If the police get a call alleging domestic violence, they will hurry to answer that call.  If a woman makes an allegation of violence, and the man denies it, it is very likely that the police will believe the woman.  The guy will be handcuffed and taken to prison.  If he is convicted in court for domestic violence, and is not lawfully present, he will be a priority for deportation.

I’ve had plenty of conversations with guys telling me that the day before, they had an “argument” with a woman.  Later, when I read the police report, I see that it was much more than an argument.  Don’t kid yourself.

Maybe your woman got on your nerves.  Maybe she made you mad.  Maybe she is dishonest or insincere.  Maybe she cheated on you.  None of that matters in the eyes of the law.  There is no justification for domestic violence.  If you feel your blood boiling, leave the room, call a friend, take a walk down the street, or do anything else to calm yourself down.  DON’T HIT YOUR WOMAN.
